A Classic Third Phase Chief’s Blanket, Woman’s Style, Navajo, circa 1860.

The chief's blanket measures 60 inches wide by 48 inches long, as woven.

Ex- Howard T. Vaille collection, Denver, Colorado.
Vaille acquired the blanket in Denver in 1882.
Ex- Edmund B. Rogers collection, Denver, Colorado.
Between 1929 and 1936, Rogers was Superintendent of Rocky Mountain
National Park. Between 1936 and 1957, Rogers was Superintendent
of Yellowstone National Park.

Currently in a private collection.
